Made With Love
I am a wife, mom, and teacher who has never been very creative. I am finding a new love for creating things; from using paints to food. I have created this blog to show my journey to being a more crafty Mama!

Bailey's Valentines
I decided to make Bailey's Valentines for day care this year, instead of just buying a box of cards that will just be thrown away. I wanted to make something that can be USED and not just wasted. I got the idea off of Pinterest that came from this site.

The start of my sewing adventures!
With my Christmas money from our generous parents, I decided to buy myself my first sewing machine. I used to take classes when I was younger, but never had a sewing machine at home. Sewing is something I have always wanted to do, but was a bit intimidated. I am so excited about my new hobby now! I am starting off easy because I still have to work on sewing straight lines and cutting straight. For some reason measuring and cutting is an issue with me, I need to get some better tools.

A bean bag for Bailey! She loves it, going to make her some more.

While searching on Pinterest I found some cute ideas for sewing projects. I decided to make a diaper/wipe holder that can also be used as a changing pad. I went to the Walmart up the street, got this fabric, and went to down. I followed this tutorial.

I love how there is a separate side pocket for wipes.
Little crooked, but I am learning!

DIY wall art with tape!
I was checking out DIY wall art projects online and came across one that looked easy and fun to do! I got two canvas's at walmart for $5 and bought cheap paint that I liked (97 cents each). We already had painters tape, so that made this an even cheaper project. In addition to it being cheap, it was also quick! I think in total (with chasing Bailey, feeding Bailey, and trying to get the sweet girl to nap) it took me about 30-45 minutes.
After I taped it, I painted. This was my first one...so I didn't really do the best job taping since it ended up bleeding through a bit more than I liked.
Painted and drying. After I let it dry but still a bit wet, I pulled off the tape.
And here is the first one! I took this after I touched up a few spots with white paint.
On to the second one...
Much cleaner lines since I really made sure the tape was stuck nicely to the canvas and without bubbles. I think I only touched up about 2 little places!
All finished!
I imagined these in the bathroom, so this might be their new home. I am going to have to move the clock because I don't like how it all looks bunched together.
This was a super easy and cheap project, just like I thought it would be!

A great use for clothespins!
I found a picture of the idea in Parents Magazine and thought it was a great idea! Instead of loading up the fridge and walls of artwork, we could hang them in her room in a cute way!

This is such an easy thing to do and I feel so silly for posting it as something crafty I did. I honestly am not good with art and coming up with ideas, so me being able to paint something and actually finish...is amazing!
Decorated...
Hung on a ribbon...
Finished project holding her art projects!
